Navigation

The Home page is the entry point for Workforce Budgeting. Your application role and feature activation determine which navigation entries you can access. The left side gives you access to your tasks, configuration menus, and Business Modeling. Browse the configuration menus or use the Search field. At the right is a Favorites pane for links to your favorite Workforce Budgeting pages.

Welcome to Workforce Budgeting information provides a role-dependent introduction to the module and a description of the main navigation entries available. Users with at least one of these application roles have access to the Workforce Budgeting module:

  • Global Configuration Modeler
  • WB Modeler
  • WB Planner
  • WB Read Only
  • WB DP Requester

This documentation describes all functionality available in the Workforce Budgeting module.

The Global Settings, Module Settings and Budgeting, Workflow and Workbooks menus contain submenus. Navigate the menus either by expanding and collapsing them or start entering the name of a required menu item in the Search field.

Expand Global Settings to access pages where you can set the general configuration that must be completed before you start your budgeting process. Available areConfiguration Set Definition, Segment Configuration, Account Activation for Sub Plan, Currency Exchange, and Translate Labels configuration pages.

Expand Module Settings and Budgeting to access pages where you can configure default settings for Workforce Budgeting and activate optional features for the module, load and calculate imported data, maintain Workforce Budgeting business objects, start your budgeting process and access the reporting section. Data transfer from Workforce Budgeting to the finance core is also available.

The Workflow and Workbooks menu enables you to request new positions through the Decision Package functionality. You must complete the necessary configuration in pages such as Workbook Wizard and Workflow Configuration before you can start using Decision Packages. Decision Package functionality is available only when the Budgeting and Planning module is activated.

If you are assigned multiple application roles that grant access to other modules in addition to Workforce Budgeting, you can switch between them by using the module selection on the top left. The role ranking determines the default module displayed when you sign in to Infor d/EPM business applications.

If you are assigned the Business Modeling Administrator role, you can expand Business Modeling to set up and configure the business model.
