Modifying the base salary

You can use the Employee Roster to modify the base salary of position assignments and vacant positions. Changing the annual salary field, the monthly salary field, or the hours or hourly rate for hourly pay basis, updates the salary attribute. Change actions to the base salary that use the base rate amount or base rate percent are based on the updated base salary attribute.

For example, the annual salary for a nurse is $50,000 and there is an increase of $1,000 in the base rate amount in May. The total salary in May is $51,000. If the salary attribute is changed to $55,000, the total salary for the nurse is $56,000 in May. That is, the new annual salary of $55,000 plus the base rate increase of $1,000.

You adjust the base salary on the position assignment or position detail pages, and not on the Actions tab.
