Overview of sub plan management

Sub plans can be integrated into Budgeting & Planning for any planning activity that requires more detail or different dimensionality than the core financial model.

For example, the core model supports planning at the month level but you might want to plan in weeks.

Infor provides sub plans such as Capital Planning but you can also create custom sub plans. Sub plan management provides a standard framework in which to create custom plans.

This is an outline of process of creating a sub plan and integrating it into Budgeting & Planning.

  1. Use OLAP modeling to create a data model for the sub plan.
  2. Use Application Studio to create reports that are specific to the sub plan.
  3. Integrate the sub plan into Infor d/EPM business applications. In Infor d/EPM, the sub plan is accessible under Applications > Sub Plan
  4. Use Application Engine to create processes that transfer data from the sub plan to the financial core.
