Removed features

This table lists removed features and their descriptions:

Feature Description
Version history A new feature is planned.
POV Point of Views are deprecated in favor of lookup objects and selection controls.

We recommend that you add commonly used selections to style sheets so that they are inherited by reports.

Scripting The services architecture does not support Visual Basic scripting. New action methods and spreadsheet features will be implemented.
Native OLAP alias The native OLAP interface is deprecated in favor of the XMLA Provider.
COS alias When you update to Infor d/EPM _COSData aliases are removed.

For migration, we recommend that you create a relational connection to the repository database.

Note: It is not supported to report on repository data, or to add custom data to the repository database. We recommend migrating custom repository database content to separate databases.
Client lists Only server lists are supported.
CPM XMLA provider The CPM XMLA Provider is no longer supported.
Old splashing syntax Only the latest splashing syntax for writing back to OLAP is supported.
MEMBERNAME and MEMBERCNAME The functionality to open the Select Element dialog box when you click a cell containing these formulas has been removed.

These functions now behave like MEMBERGET.

Non-immediate writeback Dashboards does not include a button to confirm and save changed values.

We recommend that you implement an equivalent button in data entry reports.

Pick list manager This feature has been removed and will be replaced by an improved feature to select what is displayed in reports.
WebServices Web content can be viewed only through Dashboards.

The Dashboards API can be used to embed individual reports into portals.

Report books It is not currently possible to configure the export of report books using an export wizard. A report book will be exported exactly as it has been designed in Application Studio.
Scheduled tasks There is currently no scheduling service. A comparable feature will be implemented in future.
DirectLinks Web content can be viewed only through Dashboards.

The Dashboards API can be used to embed individual reports into portals.

Google Map charts Google Map charts have been deprecated in favor of charts created with the Colored Map web extension.
Exports to MS Excel 2003 This export (.xls) format has been removed.
Exports to HTML This export format has been removed.
Configuration variables This variable has been removed.
Custom list view Only standard view is supported.
