Application roles

To improve the usability of the role-based security concept, application roles have been introduced. An application role is a role that provides permissions for all parts of an application. Comparing application roles to the repository roles in Infor BI 11, imagine an application as a collection of roles that have the same name at all levels of a project. For example, a Sales Executive application role would include these roles:

• Project role: Sales Executive
• Report catalog role: Sales Executive
• Dashboards role: Sales Executive
• OLAP Permission Management role: Sales Executive

In d/EPM Administration, the creation of application roles is done on the Application Roles dashboard.
