Dimensions for access control
OLAP stores several lists that are required for
security. The lists are maintained automatically and are stored as system dimensions.
The system dimensions in which the lists are stored are #__GRP__ and #__TAB__.
Although its name suggests a connection with groups, the #__GRP__ dimension is a list of roles.
The #__TAB__ dimension is a list of cubes. Internally, cubes are referred to as tables.
There are three system cubes in OLAP security:
- #_TABACC: Cube access control (object security)
- DAC: Dimension access control (data security)
- MDAC: Multidimensional access control (data security)
