OLAP permissions

There are three types of access permissions available for OLAP databases: global access permission, object access permissions, and data access permissions.
  • Global access permissions determine the user's ability to perform data modeling tasks such as structure changes, cube rules changes, values import/export, and so on. Global access permissions are handled in application and data roles.
  • Object and data access permissions limit the user's ability to view and change data in cubes. Data access for OLAP involves two linked systems. The global permissions are assigned to roles in d/EPM Administration and the roles are then synchronized with the access control cubes of the OLAP database.
