Adding a hierarchy

You can add a hierarchy to an existing dimension.

  1. Select Dashboards > OLAP > Edit Database.
  2. In the Database Structure widget, select the database to administer.
  3. Select the dimension to which to add a hierarchy and click Hierarchies.
  4. Click New Hierarchy.
  5. Specify a name for the hierarchy.
    The name is automatically used as the caption of the hierarchy.
  6. Optionally, specify a different caption for the hierarchy.
  7. Optionally, specify a description of the hierarchy.
  8. Click Add.
