Overview of OLAP database editing

Select Dashboards > OLAP > Edit Database.

In the Database Structure widget select the database to edit. The widget displays Dimensions and Cubes nodes. Click a node to display a tile for each dimension or cube in the application. Each tile provides a summary of the dimension or cube. Or, click the Search icon and search for a specific dimension or cube.

This table shows the options that are available from the dimension and cube tiles:

Dimension Cube
Properties Properties
Hierarchies Rules
Attributes Export Cube (File)
Delete Import Cube (File)
Mappings
Delete

For dimensions, Properties, Hierarchies, and Attributes tabs are displayed if you expand the Dimensions node and select a dimension.

Hierarchies have Properties, Mappings, and Elements tabs. The Elements tab is informational. Use it to check the structure of a hierarchy after, for example, running a mapping.

Cubes, have Properties, Rules, Dimensionality, and Mappings tabs.

Use the Dimensionality tab as a reference. It lists the dimensions of a selected cube in their native order. That is, in the order in which they were added when the cube was created.
