Restoring a backup

Restoring a backup is a two-stage operation to enable you to check the results of the restore before you either commit or rollback.

Restoring backups between different versions is not supported.

  1. Select Dashboards > OLAP > Save and Backup.
The Database Backup widget shows the time at which the next backup is scheduled, and the time elapsed since the last backup. If automatic backup is not on, the Next Backup field displays Not scheduled. If a restore is in progress, the field displays the name of the database backup.
  2. In the Databases widget, select the database to administer.
  3. In the Database Backup widget, click Manage Backups.
  4. Click the menu icon of the backup to restore and select Restore.
  5. Click one of these options:
    Option Description
Commit Restore After confirmation, the restored database replaces the last saved state of the database
Rollback Restore After confirmation, the restored database is discarded, and the last saved state of the database is used
