Content connections

Administrators register access to report catalogs in the application through content connections. As content providers, Administration Service, Application Studio Service, Modeling Service and Dashboard Navigation Plugin Content Provider are supported. Content connections must be configured correctly before you can access any content in the application. Dashboards that are based on content connections do not work if the content connections are removed.

You can create, edit, and delete content connections. Additionally, you can change the order in which the content connections are displayed on the side menu.

Note:

Administering content connections is supported on tablets. You cannot create or edit content connections on your phone.

To administer content connections, you must have these permissions:

  • Project permission Edit to manage dashboard catalogs.
  • Dashboard permission Administer to change the settings of dashboard catalogs.

See the d/EPM Administration section for detailed information on how to configure dashboard permissions and roles.
