Displaying KPIs on Homepages

Typically, customers have a large number of KPIs that they want to use on Homepages and make available to multiple users.

To add each KPI as a standard widget would be time consuming. To reduce the time it takes to add multiple KPIs you can populate a single widget with a report in which users can navigate to the required KPI. As each KPI is selected, it is displayed in the widget. You can then publish the widget before repeating the process with another KPI.

  1. In Application Studio, create a report that gives users the capability to jump or navigate to your KPIs.
For example, create a report with a list of KPIs and create a jump action on each KPI.
  2. Set the report as a default report for a standard widget during the adoption phase.
You can use this report to jump or navigate to other reports inside the Homepages application.
  3. Open Homepages.
  4. Add that standard widget to your home page.
  5. Select the KPI that you need.
  6. Publish the widget containing the KPI to the Widget Catalog.
  7. Repeat steps 4-6 for all the KPIs that you want to add to the Widget Catalog.
