Business objects that you add are displayed if you select Business Objects > Custom.

Note: To have a consolidated statement that is based on segments such as regions, business units, or products, you must define those segments as business objects.

You can define up to three segments in the order of their importance. That is, enable the primary segment for the most important business driver, and the secondary and third segments for less important business drivers.

Financial Consolidation is based on hierarchical segmentation. If there are two segments, then breaking down, for example, a financial value of 100 separately into a business and region is not enough. You must incorporate the connection between the business and region. You can break down the value of 100 as in this example:

  • 60: Automotive/Austria
  • 10: Automotive/Sweden
  • 20: Trading/Austria
  • 10: Trading/Sweden

The differentiation is important only if more than one segment is used.
