Adding a vertical list

You can add a column of INFOR.GET.ELEMENT formulas to create a vertical list in your report.
  1. Select a cell in which to add the formula.
Note: To use Excel Integration user interface to add formulas, ensure that Excel is not in cell-editing mode. Entering the edit mode results in a formula write error.
  2. Click Vertical Elements.
On the Add Vertical Elements page, you can easily switch from the vertical to a horizontal list through the button in the top right section of the page.
  3. Select a data connection.
  4. Select a cube.
  5. Select dimension or hierarchy.
  6. Optionally, instead of selecting a data source element, click the Reference a cell icon to select a reference cell.
The reference cell must contain a valid unique name for the corresponding data source. You can only use a single cell reference.
  7. Optionally, click the Display Format icon and select which element attribute to display.
By default, the element caption is selected.
  8. Optionally, click the Reference a cell icon and select the Custom option to connect a single column of cells for use in element selection.
By default, element unique names are generated automatically in the cell to the right of each formula. You can turn off the automatic generation of unique names by clearing the Create unique name connection check box.
  9. Optionally, click the Element Visibility icon and select which of these elements to show:
    Option Description
All Elements By default, all elements of the selected hierarchy are available for selection.
Selected Elements Only the list of selected items is displayed.
Leaf Elements Only the base elements are displayed.
Elements from Level All levels are listed from the top level to the base level. If you select Level 0, the top elements are displayed. Or, if you select Level 1, all children of one or more top elements are displayed.
  10. To look for specific elements, click the Search icon and specify all or part of an element name in the search box.
  11. To select elements other than the default element of the hierarchy, select the check boxes of the required elements.
You can select one or more elements. To select all visible elements, expand the elements and select the check box in the list header.
Note: When you reference multiple cells that contain element unique names, a read-only, flat list of selected elements is shown in the Elements section.
  12. Click Add.
