Adding a value

You can add value to a selected cell in your report. If you enable writeback for the new value, INFOR.GET.VALUE formula is added to the selected cell. If you disable writeback, an INFOR.READ.VALUE formula is added. If you select multiple elements, the sum of selected elements is displayed in the cell.
  1. Select a cell in which to add the formula.
Note: To use Excel Integration to add formulas, ensure that Excel is not in cell-editing mode. Entering the edit mode results in a formula write error.
  2. Click One Value.
  3. Select a data connection.
  4. Select a cube.
  5. Optionally, instead of selecting a data source element, click the Reference a cell icon to select a reference cell.
The reference cell must contain a valid unique name for the corresponding data source. You can only use a single cell reference.
  6. Select one of these options:
    Option Description
Add Coordinate from Cell Select the coordinates from a cell.
Select Elements from Hierarchy The default element of the selected hierarchy is selected. To change the element, click the hierarchy and select the non-default option. You can then select one or more elements in the elements panel. To select all visible elements, expand the elements and select the check box in the list header. You can also click the Search icon to look for specific elements.
To expand the elements panel, click the arrow that is located next to the hierarchy.
  7. To search for a dimension or hierarchy, click the Search icon that is located above the dimensions and specify all or part of a search term in the search box.
If a search returns hierarchies that belong to the same dimension as the searched hierarchy but which do not match your search term, the Show button is displayed. Click the button to view those hierarchies.
  8. To change the displayed element attribute, click the Display Format icon in the elements panel.
By default, the element caption is selected. In the elements panel, you can also click the Element Visibility icon to select which elements to show or click the Search icon to look for specific elements.
Note: Changing the display format does not affect the generated formula.
  9. Click Add.
