Periods 13-16 in the Infor d/EPM business applications

Fact data for periods 13-16 is usually used for corrections, adjustments, or closing entries (closing bookings).

A closing entry is a journal entry that is made at the end of the accounting period. A closing entry involves moving data from temporary accounts on the income statement to permanent accounts on the balance sheet. All income statement balances are eventually transferred to retained earnings.

In Budgeting & Planning, periodic data from periods 13-16 is loaded into separate elements of the Level dimension of the BP Main Cube and is aggregated to period 12.

In Financial Consolidation, separate elements for periodic data from periods 13-16 do not exist in the Adjustment Levels dimension. Therefore, periodic data from periods 13-16 is loaded into the Import element of the Adjustment Levels dimension and is aggregated to period 12. YTD data from periods 13-16 cannot be loaded into Financial Consolidation because source YTD data of period 12 already contains data from periods 13-16.
