Copying actual data between configuration sets

Use the Data Transfer page to copy actual data from one configuration set to another configuration set. Copying actual data from one configuration set to another removes the existing actual data in the target configuration set. After the existing actual data is removed, all actual values from the source are copied to the target configuration set.

You can only copy actual data between configuration sets when it is selected in both, target and source configuration set. In all other cases, copying of actual data from one configuration set to another is not possible.

To copy actual data, select the Global Processes tab, in the Copy Actual Data between Configuration sets section, select the source configuration set and version. Then select the target configuration set and version.

Click Initiate to copy the data. You are prompted to confirm that you are overwriting the existing values in the target version.

This data is copied:

  • Balance sheet
  • Profit and loss
  • Exchange rate
  • Cash flow
  • Configuration data including translation methods

Movements are copied one to one.

Opening balances are copied for the first year where actuals are available. The remaining opening balances are calculated by a rule.

You can use this process to remove all actual values in the target configuration set by selecting an empty source configuration set.
