Tasks and data entry

On the Home page, you can see information about tasks that are assigned to you or to the groups of which you are a member.

Depending on your role, a planning task might be to complete a planning step by entering financial data in a workbook, to review a step that has been submitted and approve or reject it. Or, it might be to complete a manual task. Each workflow step is defined for a specific entity within the configuration set.

You execute planning tasks in workbooks. Workbooks are collections of data entry pages.

Workbooks are designed in the Workbook Wizard and are based on templates. Therefore, the format of all data entry pages is similar but varies according to requirements of each planning task.

  1. Click the Home icon.
  2. Click Tasks.
    By default, all the tasks that are assigned to you are displayed.
  3. Optionally, filter the tasks using the configuration set, version, and entity filter. You can also filter tasks by status, due date, assignee, and module.
  4. Click a task to open it.
