Managing unavailable lists and calculations

A list or calculation can become unavailable for these reasons:

  • It is redundant. This can happen if the database alias for which the list or calculation was defined no longer exists.
  • It belongs to a data connection which is not currently connected.
  • It is a variable list. Application Studio does not determine whether the variable describes a data connection or whether the data connection is connected.

To remove lists or calculations from the database:

  1. Select Extras > Manage Unavailable Lists and Calculations.
    A message informs you if there are calculations which might become available when their data connections are connected. Click OK.
  2. Click the Unavailable Lists or Unavailable Calculations tab as required.
  3. Select the check boxes of the lists or calculations to remove.
    Note: Do not select the Select All check box unless all lists or calculations are redundant.
  4. Click Delete.
    Confirm that you want to delete the selected lists or calculations.
