Persistency and values

In the Properties pane of a variable you can specify a value for the variable, a default value and whether the value is persistent.

If the variable is persistent, the value is held in the repository and is used as the initial value the next time you run Application Studio. If the variable is non-persistent, its value is held in memory but not in the repository, and so is lost when you log out of Application Studio.

If you specify a default value for the variable, and the value is non-persistent, the default value is used as the initial value each time you log on.
