Creating multiple output cells

By default, hyperblocks consist of a key output cell and a value cell. The key output cell contains the reference to the list on which the hyperblock is based. For relational lists, the key output cell contains the first column of the relational data.

Multiple output cells are useful when working with relational data sources. You can create a separate output cell for each column of relational data.

  1. Click the button in a hyperblock to open the Format Hyperblock dialog.
  2. To create a new key output cell click New.
  3. To create further key output cells, expand the hyperblock to accommodate the new cells by dragging its edges. Then click New in the Format Hyperblock dialog.
By default, new cells display the captions of elements. To use the unique name or an attribute, click the value to enable its drop-down list. For relational sources, the list contains the columns. When you use multiple output cells, each cell can have a different text format. This lets you display both the caption and unique name of list elements in a report. The text format of output cells can also be selected in the Hyperblock Output Properties dialog.

You can apply different styles to each key output cell.
