Set parameters action

Sets the parameters that are assigned to the report. Set parameters can be defined on cells, objects, and on reports.

The parameters are passed at once. This may cause recalculation of the report.

Note: Set parameters supports these optional inputs:
  • Refresh in web
  • Enforce recalculation of whole report
  • Immediate writeback

In a report action in On report loaded mode, Set parameters supports only the Immediate writeback optional input. In a report action in On parameter change mode, Set parameters supports all three optional inputs.

The Immediate writeback input affects the writeback behavior of reports in the web. It can be used to override, on the fly, the writeback behavior that is specified in the Application Settings dashboard in d/EPM Administration. In the full client, writeback is always immediate.

Note: The immediate writeback optional input refreshes the entire report in the web.

When used with the Selection Changed action mode the Execution input becomes available. The input can have one of two values: Manual Selection Changes or All Selection Changes. If Manual Selection Changes is selected, the action is executed only when a user selects a value from the list view. If All Selection Changes is selected, and the report is used in a dashboard, the action can be executed by a change of a parameter in another report on the dashboard.
