Creating applications

Infor d/EPM can be provisioned with or without the option to create custom applications. If the option is enabled, you can create applications and customize and extend them as you require.

These applications are identified by the value Custom in the Type column of the Applications dashboard.

You must have Create Application permission on the repository level to create applications.

  1. Select Dashboards > Applications Administration > Applications.
  2. Click Create.
  3. Specify a name and unique name for the application. Optionally, specify a description.
  4. Select one or more of these capabilities to enable:
    Dashboards
Users can create dashboards and content connections.
    Reporting
Users can create Application Studio reports.
    OLAP Database
When you create an application that includes the OLAP Database capability, a database with only the #TABACC cube is created. The Office Integration capability is automatically included. This enables use of the Excel Integration add-in to access Infor d/EPM data from within the Excel interface.
During the data integration process for the business applications, you use relational modeling to prepare, validate, and run queries that transfer data from a source system into an integration database.
A data connection is created. The unique name of the application is used as the name of the OLAP database and cannot be changed. A data connection to the OLAP database is created.
    Modeling
The Modeling capability enables use of relational modeling to import and export models and to create load queries.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Click Portal Details.
In the Infor Cloud, you must add the application to the application launcher to be able to access the dashboards of a custom application. The Infor Portal dialog box provides you with the fields that you must fill when you configure the application in Infor Ming.le.

You can access the reports of custom applications through a content connection from an already existing application.

See "Adding applications to Infor Ming.le".

To create a link to the application in Infor Ming.le, instructions for completing the fields of the Add New Application widget in Infor Ming.le are provided in the Infor Portal dialog box. Click the application in the grid and click Portal Details.
