Installing applications

  1. Select Dashboards > Applications Administration > Applications.
  2. Click Install .
  3. Browse to the *.biapplication file to install and click Open.
  4. When the file has uploaded, click Install.
    Note: If the Dashboards component of an application has permission assignments for one or more of the commercial roles, those assignments are skipped during installation.
  5. Optionally, clear the Put the application online on finish check box.
  6. Click Finish.

    Typically, the name of the application's OLAP database is the same as the name of the application. But, for custom applications only, if there is a difference between the name of the database and the name of the application, then the database is renamed. This message is displayed in the installation log: OLAP database was renamed to align with project name.

    If there is a conflict with the name of an existing OLAP database then name of the database being installed is not renamed, and the import does not proceed.
