Regular employee FTE records load
FTE information must be loaded for any employee group for which you want to create labor plans.
Labor plans can be created with different calculation methods for different employee groups. Calculation method configuration defines the planning frequency.
Loaded FTE information must be in the same planning frequency as the calculation method that the affected employee group is associated with.
FTE information must be loaded for every new started period, PERIOD_ELEMENT, in WDDDRIVER dimension. The period start and end date depends on the planning frequency of the associated calculation method.
- Weekly frequency: the period duration is always Monday - Sunday. The first period PERIOD_001 can be an exception since its start date is always 1st January, regardless of the fact whether is Monday or not. The following periods comply with Monday - Sunday approach.
- Bi-weekly frequency: the same applies here, but the period duration is two weeks.
- Monthly frequency: the period duration is always the first day of the month - the last day of the month. The first period PERIOD_001 is always January.
- Quarterly frequency: the period duration is always 3 months. The first period PERIOD_001 is always January - March.
- Yearly: the period duration is always Q1: January - December.
Example
The configuration set duration is y. 2017 – 2018:
- Weekly frequency: PERIOD_001: 1st January 2017 - 1st January 2017, PERIOD_002: 2nd January 2017 - 8th January 2017, and so on.
- Bi-weekly frequency: PERIOD_001: 1st January 2017 - 8th January 2017, 9th January 2017 - 22nd January 2017
- Monthly frequency: PERIOD_001: January 2017, PERIOD_002: February 2017, and so on.
- Quarterly frequency: PERIOD_001: January 2017 - March 2017, PERIOD_002: April 2017 - June 2017
- Yearly: PERIOD_001: January 2017 - December 2017, PERIOD_002: January 2018 - December 2018
The upload is additive. If new uploaded values are for different data area than in the previous upload, new values are added to the existing data. If the new uploaded values are for the same data area, the existing values are overwritten.
If employees leave the company during your configuration set, change their WFD_FTE value to '0' for the affected period.
If the same employee group can be associated with multiple calculation methods with the same planning frequency, their FTE information must be uploaded only once.
