Defining the configuration sets

Before you configure Workforce Planning, ensure that business configuration and configuration set definition are completed.

The configuration set to be used in labor planning must overlap with the current period. The period of a configuration set that is configured for Workforce Planning should not exceed two years.

  1. Click the Home icon.
  2. Select Applications > Sub Plan > Workforce Planning > Configuration > Workforce Planning Configuration.
The Workforce Planning Configuration wizard opens.
  3. Review the configuration set and version and click Next.
The configuration set and version are inherited from global context variables. You must configure each configuration set and version combination before you can start using them in Workforce Planning.
To change the configuration set or version, you must edit the global variables.
  4. Select if planning across entities is enabled.
    Labor Planning across Entities enabled
With this option, you can perform labor planning across all entities. The structure to be used for labor planning is not restricted by the entity dimension.
  5. Click Next.
  6. Select the organization hierarchy to be used in labor planning.
The organization hierarchy that is current at the time of the configuration set definition is available for selection.
The organization selection is configuration set-specific and your selection is inherited for all versions within the configuration set. If the organization was already selected for another version within the same configuration set, you cannot modify it.
  7. Click Save and Close.
