Importing employee hours

Employee hours represent actual values that are not forecast. Attendance data is stored in the Workforce Planning main calculation cube in the version that holds the actuals. The exact version depends on the selected frequency.

You can import employee hours from a file to use it in Workforce Planning.

  1. Click the Home icon.
  2. Select Applications > Sub Plan > Workforce Planning > Data Entry > Driver Value Report.
  3. Click Import Employee Hours.
  4. Specify the file to import.
  5. Select the configuration set.
  6. Select the frequency.
  7. Select the organization.
    If you import employee hours for the same context, the employee hours are overwritten. You can select different allocation drivers for different organizations.
  8. Optionally, select the Allocate employee hours option. Select the driver category, the driver, and the version.
    If you use this option, the employee hours are allocated proportionally to driver values.
  9. Select the dimensions and define the order in which the dimensions are displayed in the .csv file.
    First, select the dimension to be represented by the first column, then select the dimension that is represented by the second column. Continue until each column in the file to import is mapped to a dimension.
    The order of the selected dimensions is indicated next to the check box.
  10. To view the content of the file, click Preview.
    If the order of the dimensions does not match the content of the file, you can adjust the order of the dimensions and click Apply.
  11. Click Import.
