Overview of Workforce Planning

The purpose of Infor Workforce Planning is to support management in making the most appropriate and timely decisions when there are shortfalls between actual and planned employee numbers. You can perform both direct and indirect labor forecasting, based on input parameters.

Additionally, Workforce Planning calculates, for example, labor utilization and efficiency.

The focus of Workforce Planning is to determine the time that is required to meet the demand and the headcount or full time equivalent (FTE), that is required to cover the workload. Whereas Workforce Budgeting is used to calculate the cost of the workforce.

The technical OLAP ID that is used in the WBDEMPLOYEE dimension must not be an ID that contains personal data. For example, a social insurance number should not be used in the dimension. This is to maintain data privacy. This is also relevant if you are importing employee data.
