Importing cube data

Importing cube data overwrites the data in the OLAP model with the new data. Ensure that you perform these operations first on a test installation to be certain the changes are correct and the cube data is being loaded to the correct areas. Ensure that you make backups of the OLAP databases before and after the integration imports.

  1. In Designer, connect to the model.
  2. Expand the model.
  3. Expand Configuration.
  4. Click Planning Settings.
  5. Click the Common Settings tab and select Click here to import the data of the Integration import.
  6. From the Source Connection list, select the connection to the depm_integration database. The import facility uses the connection to find all the available cube data tables that can be imported.
  7. Select these cubes and click Import.

Messages are displayed as the dimensions are imported. Any error stops the process and prevents subsequent selected cubes from being imported.

After the cube load is complete, an overview of number of records that were successfully loaded is displayed. The number of records loaded can also be viewed on the Edit Database dashboard in d/EPM Administration.
