If a dimension has a valid dimension access control
(DAC) table referenced from the DEPM_MOD_DIMENSION object definition table, then you can
manage permissions for its elements.

Select the hierarchy for which to manage permissions.

Select the check box of the element for which to set permissions and click
Permissions.
All data roles from the DEPM_MOD_DATAROLE object definition table are listed.
Note: The Permissions button is not available unless the dimension
has a DAC assigned to it.

Select the check boxes of the data roles to which to apply permissions.
You can use the search and filter options to restrict the list of roles that
are displayed.

Click the icon in the Permissions
column and select the required permission for the selected data roles.
If you select a consolidated elements and select one of the Pass permissions options, then
changes are applied to the elements and to all their children.
The permission values are written back to the data table that is referenced as the DAC
table. The DAC cube is cleared befoe the values are published from that data
table
