OLAP database
An OLAP database cannot run in the Infor d/EPM farm without being part of an application. An application can connect to the databases of other applications through data connections. But an individual application can have only one database.
An OLAP database can form part of a standard application. In a standard application, the database can be empty, or it can be prefilled with structures and data. Or, you can create an empty application that contains an OLAP Database. The OLAP database in an empty application contains only the #TABACC cube.
To create an empty application and OLAP database, you select OLAP Database option is enabled.
in the Manage Applications dashboard and ensure that theEnabling the OLAP Database option has these results:
- The name of the empty database has the same name as the unique name of the application that you created.
- The OLAP permission roles are available in the Data Roles dashboard.
Select
- There is a data connection that enables Application Studio, Excel Integration, and Application Engineto access the empty database.
You cannot rename OLAP databases. Do not rename the folder of the database in the database root directory. Renaming the folder breaks the configuration that makes the database a member of the Infor d/EPM farm.
