Migrating individual cubes or dimensions, Infor d/EPM 11 to Infor d/EPM 12

  1. In d/EPM Administration select Dashboards > OLAP > Databases. Select the target database and click the Stop icon.
    The database is saved and a metadata.json file is generated. Optionally select Dashboards > OLAP > Save and Backup to make a backup of the database.
  2. Go to the source database file directory location.
  3. Create a .zip file for the base structures of the source database. Do not include large cubes or dimensions.
  4. Import the base structures of the source Infor d/EPM 11 database to the target Infor d/EPM 12 database.
  5. Create a new custom application with OLAP capabilities as a minimum.
  6. In the d/EPM Administration application select Dashboards > OLAP > Databases of the new custom application and import the .zip file with the source base structures by replacing the database.
  7. Run Service Expert, click the Directories tab and locate the target central database file. Make a note of the location.
  8. In d/EPM Administration select Dashboards > OLAP > Databases and make a note of the target database Save Version number.
  9. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the source database.
  10. Create a copy of the source OLAP cubes or dimensions files from the directory location that is displayed in the Service Expert.
  11. Create a .zip file of the copied source OLAP cubes or dimensions files. Do not include the metadata.json file in the .zip file.
  12. Copy the .zip file and paste it into the target database file storage. Extract the .zip file.
  13. In d/EPM Administration select Dashboards > OLAP > Databases. Select the target database and click the Start icon.
  14. Optionally, check if the database is in a corrupted state. Select Dashboards > OLAP > Databases Troubleshooting. If the database is corrupted, it has a Wrench icon against it. Click the Wrench icon to start repair.
  15. Optionally, confirm that the OLAP cubes and dimensions are loaded correctly. Select Dashboards > OLAP > Edit Database. Check if all cubes and dimensions are visible.
