Security options
These are the security types:
- Service to service security

Select the type of security mode that is used for the internal communication between Services and for infrastructure calls.
- API security

Select the type of security for the public APIs of Services. This applies to, for example, Administration Services.
- Web access security

Select the type of security that is used for the web access by users. Consider these scenarios:
- How users access the web UI
- How users log on to the Farm repository
Note: To connect your farm to Microsoft Analysis Services, we recommend that you install your farm with IFS web access security.
For web access security, these authentication types are available: Basic, LDAP and IFS.
If you select Basic as the authentication type for web access security, then it is also set as the authentication type for client access security and cannot be changed there.
If you select IFS as the authentication type, then you are prompted to set additional settings for client access security. You must also specify additional settings for IFS, such as IFS URL and Infor OS Farm ID.

If you select LDAP as the authentication type for web access security, then it is also set as the authentication type for client access security and cannot be changed there.

Select the type of security that is used for the client access. This section is enabled only when IFS is the security type for web access security.
For client access security, these authentication types are available: Basic, LDAP, and IFS.
If you select IFS as the authentication type, then you are prompted to specify additional settings for IFS and configure ION API.
