Data transfer
On the Data transfer tab of the Properties dialog of the business group, you configure the transfer of data from the source databases into the reference database. This is important, because only those business data (fact data) are transferred to the OLAP database that are contained in the reference database. Dimension elements and structures will also be created, when the reference database is empty.
Select the check box OLAP database is created the next time including the data that are not mapped to any OLAP dimension. The check box is disabled, while the database is created. In the table, specify, which periods are loaded for each business unit.

lists, for example, Current Quarter.

In the dialog, first specify the values for the Start period and the End period to restrict the range of the selection. Then select the check box of the periods, whose data are to be loaded into the reference database, when the OLAP database is created. |
