Relational modeling
Infor d/EPM can connect to different data sources and use them as a business database.
To connect to a database, run commands, and retrieve results, a database provider is required. For example, the SQL database provider is required for Microsoft SQL.
You must install a relational database driver on all OLAP worker machines, Application Engine worker machines, and OLAP ODBC cluster nodes.
To load data from the source system to Infor d/EPM, follow these steps:
- Custom data integration:
- Load data into the relational modeling staging table.
- Transform data in the staging table, if applicable.
- Map data to the dimension in the OLAP cube.
Note: You can source data from OLAP directly through relational providers. In such cases, skip steps 1 and 2. - Standard integration:
- Load data into the relational modeling staging table.
- Transform data in the staging table.
- Load data into the integration table.
- Publish data to OLAP with Business Modeling.
