Entities

In the Infor d/EPM Budgeting & Planning application, entities are typically used to represent internal entity structures. Entities can be legal entities such as a company or a group, or non legal entities such a branch office or a shop.

Entities in Infor d/EPM Financial Consolidation represent legal entities only.

Non legal entities cannot be part of the entity setup and are not used in the financial consolidation scope.

The use of business data from the Entities business object is required in Budgeting & Planning, Workforce Budgeting, and Financial Consolidation.

This table shows the properties of the Entities business object and uses these abbreviations:

  • BP: Budgeting & Planning
  • WB: Workforce Budgeting
  • CO: Financial Consolidation
  • R: Required
  • U: Used but optional

YTD Load Indicates whether source data for an entity is YTD. If left blank or set to FALSE, then source data for an entity is periodic.
Note: You can load YTD data only in Financial Consolidation.

FiscalYearStart Indicates the start month of a fiscal year for an entity in the source system.

These values for the start of a fiscal year are available:

  • GC: Global calendar that starts in January each year. GC is used if no alternative calendar has been configured in the source system. GC is also applied if the FiscalYearStart field is left blank.
  • PY_XX: Fiscal year starts in the year prior to the calendar's start year. XX is the number in the range of 02-12 and indicates the start month of a fiscal year. PY_05, for example, indicates that the fiscal year starts in May of the year prior to the calendar's start year. January (01) is reserved for the global calendar (GC).
  • SY_XX: Fiscal year starts in the year in which the calendar starts. XX is the number in the range of 02-12 and indicates the start month of a fiscal year. SY_02, for example, indicates that the fiscal year starts in February of the year in which the calendar starts. January (01) is reserved for the global calendar (GC).
