Application roles

The Business Administrator or the Business Modeler creates the base plan and supports the planner. The Business Administrator or Business Modeler also configures the financial planning steps, assigns the financial planning steps to create the workflow, and monitors the progress of the financial planning steps through the budgeting process workflow.

Planners build, adjust, and maintain the plan. They access their assigned financial planning steps, populate the required data and submit it to the corporate plan. As part of the workflow, after a financial planning step has been completed and submitted to the corporate plan, it can no longer be modified by planners.

Approvers review and approve or reject the financial planning steps that have been submitted by planners. Approvers are assigned to each financial planning step. If organizations are enabled on a configuration set, you can assign a different planner to each organization. Optionally, you can specify a two-level approval process.

Users that are assigned both the planner and the approver roles are not supported. We recommend that you create separate accounts for the planner and approver roles.

In addition, built-in roles, such as, AdministratorRole, DesignerRole, MasterRole, ViewRole can be used. You can use these roles in your custom applications but do not assign them to Infor d/EPM business applications. New data roles can be added.
Note: Adding new application roles is not supported.
