Creating hyperblocks

You can create a hyperblock by drag and drop from the Database Structure or by using the Create Hyperblock dialog box.

You can drag any of these objects from the Database Structure into a report to create a hyperblock:

  • Dimension
  • Hierarchy
  • List
  • Measures folder
  • Measure
  • Level
  • Set
  1. Open the report in Design mode.
  2. Drag an object from the Database Structure to the worksheet.
    To specify the initial size of the hyperblock, first select a block of cells in the worksheet.
  3. Click the rotation icon in the top, left corner of the hyperblock to specify whether the list expands horizontally or vertically.
  4. Edit the properties of a hyperblock in the Format Hyperblock dialog.
    Right-click the hyperblock and select Output Properties.
