Auditing

Infor d/EPM provides an audit trail for a number of events. Those events are grouped into audit categories. Specific audit requirements can vary, and it is often necessary to balance auditing and system performance. For these reasons, you can configure your own auditing requirements. Membership of the Audit Administrator repository role is required.

Use of the Audit Service requires a license, and configuration of the connection through a CLI job. For details of the required configuration, contact Infor Support.

There are system events (farm configuration changes) and application events. In the Farm Settings dashboard, you specify whether audit entries are saved in a file, or in the Audit Service.

Audit entries exclude sensitive information and are not viewable in Infor d/EPM.

The physical portions of the audit entries are Base64-encoded and are not human-readable, but a variety of Base64 decoding tools are available online.

Audit entries are stored as files in C:\ProgramData\Infor\BI\Audit.

Protocols and mechanisms for viewing audit logs are implementation-specific.

The Audit Settings widget in the Security Settings dashboard enables auditing of the events in these categories:

  • System
  • Configuration
  • Tenant
  • Security
  • Administration
  • OLAP
  • Business Applications
  • Usage Auditing

You can switch auditing on or off for any of the sub categories in this table:
