Generating a request log

Caution: 
Perform this task only in the context of a support case, together with Infor Support. Always delete log files after downloading them.

You can log issues of these types and download them to a .zip file:

  • Database crash
  • Reporting
  • Performance
  1. Select Dashboards > OLAP > Database Troubleshooting.
  2. In the Databases widget, select the database for which to create a log.
  3. In the Request Log widget, select, from the Research Target list, an event type to log.
  4. In the Lifetime field, specify the number of hours or minutes for which to log.
  5. Click Start.
    This message is displayed: Request logs should only be enabled in the context of a support case together with Infor Support. Always delete log files after downloading them. Click Start.
    The button becomes a Stop button. If you stop a scan, the lifetime reverts to its original value. You cannot restart a scan from the point at which you stop it.
  6. When the lifetime has expired, click Download and click the Download icon of the log file to download.
    You can browse and download logs of other events while a request is running.
