Downloading and installing clients

Infor d/EPM platform has several client applications. The clients can connect to the Infor cloud or to a locally installed farm.

In cloud environments, the geographical proximity of the client to the Amazon Web Services zone on which the tenant runs has a bearing on the performance of the client. This applies particularly to Application Studio, which will not perform satisfactorily if, for example, the client and tenant are on different continents.

Refer to the Management Overview for details of supported client platforms.

For cloud connections, TLS 1.2 (Transport Layer Security) must be enabled on all machines on which you plan to install the clients.

Microsoft .NET Framework version 4.8 is required. Microsoft .NET Framework version 4.8 is not automatically available and must be installed. You can download the Microsoft .NET Framework software by going to the Microsoft website.

From the Client Access administration dashboard in d/EPM Administration you can install these client applications:

  • Application Studio
  • Application Engine Process Editor
The Application Engine Process Editor is part of the Application Studio download and setup.
Note: Infor d/EPM business applications are not available in the Application Engine Process Editor. To debug a process, use the Application Engine process debugger in Application Studio.

For client access for Application Studio, Application Engine Process Editor, and Office Integration to a multi-tenant environment, the ION API gateway is used which runs on port 443.

Each client must be applicable to the version of the Infor cloud or the local farm. The Client Access dashboard contains the applicable client applications and profiles.

  1. Select Dashboards > Farm Administration > Client Access.
  2. Click Download Setup of the client application to install.
  3. Copy the setup file from your Downloads folder to the machine on which to install the client application.
  4. On the client, double-click the Setup_XXX.exe file to start the Installation Wizard.
If requirements are missing, the InstallShield Wizard notifies you.
  5. Click Next in the Welcome dialog box.
  6. Click Next.
  7. Click Install
  8. Click Finish after the installer has completed the client installation successfully.
