Defining step and grade tables

Use the Step and Grade Salary Tables page to define or change step and grade salary tables.

You can create tables for salaried and for hourly-paid positions. Each salary table has one or more grades, and each grade has one or more steps. A different salary or hourly amount is assigned to each step. Each grade and step combination within a schedule defines a pay rate.

For each salary table, you can create rules that specify how employees progress from one step to another and from one grade to another.

Optionally, you can select from the standard dimensions to define step and grade tables for a specific configuration set, version, and entity.

  1. Click the Home icon.
