Self-Service

In on-premises environments, Self-Service can be installed from the Farm Expert. In cloud environments, Self-Service can be provisioned if requested.

This table shows the differences between Self-Service in the cloud and on-premises.

Self-Service is intended for use by adding a content connection to a custom application and using the Self-Service widgets to create custom dashboards in the custom application.

Protected application: Standard reports, dashboards, and roles are protected.

You can create custom extensions.

Dashboards In the cloud,Self-Service does not contain a dashboard catalog. You cannot, therefore, sign in to Self-Service in the web.

You can create a content connection to Self-Service in a custom application and use the Self-Service widgets in the custom application. Optionally, you can import the standard dashboard to a custom application.

Standard protected dashboards are part of the protected application. You can create custom dashboards within the Self-Service dashboard catalog.
Infor Ming.le® icon Not available. In the cloud, the Self-Service application does not contain a dashboard catalog. You can access Self-Service only by adding a content connection to a custom application, which you can access through the Infor Ming.le app tray. The standard Infor Ming.le application for Self-Service is available in the on-premises registry.
