Accounting entity

An accounting entity is a corporation or a subset of a corporation. It is the lowest level at which financial reports such as profit and loss statements or balance sheets are produced. The accounting entity is required on all transaction and balance BODs. It is defined within a tenant and can contain locations. The accounting entity is also used as a security element for accessing some ION-enabled applications. This must be set up in Infor Federation Services.

For Infor d/EPM, the entity (also known as company) is used as the accounting entity.
