Adding a DB2 connection

Loading from a DB2 source requires a DB2 client to be installed on the server computer. If a DB2 client is not already installed, we recommend you install the IBM Data Server Driver Package.

A 64-bit driver is required on a 64-bit system and a 32-bit driver on a 32-bit system.

To add a connection for DB2:

  1. Open the Manage Data Sources page.
  2. Click New and select DB2.
  3. Specify a name for the data source. The name must be unique.
  4. Specify the user name of the database owner.
  5. Specify the password for the database owner.
  6. Specify the name of the server computer on which the DB2 software is installed.
  7. Specify the port number. The default is 50000.
  8. Select the database to connect to the data source.
  9. Click Test Connection. If this is not successful, review and correct the connection information.
  10. Click Save.
