Step and Grade Schedules
Use the Step and Grade Schedules page to define or change step and grade schedules that contain pay rates for different positions. Each step and grade schedule has one or more grades, and each grade has one or more steps. Each grade and step combination within a schedule defines a pay rate.
You must have read-write access to the Version member to make changes. If you have read-only access to the Version member, you can review the associated schedules.
Step and grade schedules are required if Step and Grade is enabled.
Editing is not allowed on the Step and Grade Schedules page. Click to open the Step and Grade Schedule Details page where you can make changes.
This table describes the fields:
Field | Description |

Refresh the page to the last saved state. You are prompted if there are unsaved changes. | |
Delete the selected item. A schedule cannot be deleted if it is used in a position definition or position assignment. | |
New Schedule | Add a new schedule. The Step and Schedule Details page opens where you can modify the schedule. |
Copy Schedule | Copy the selected schedule with the option to alter the pay rates. The Step and Grade Schedule Details page opens where you can modify the new schedule. |
Calculate | Calculate the selected cycle and version member and the top member in the primary dimension hierarchy. |
Planning Cycles | List of planning cycles marked as started in Budgeting & Planning. |
Version | List of Version dimension members to which the user has access. Select a member to filter the page. |
Open the Step and Grade Schedule Details page. | |
Schedule | Name of the schedule. |
Description | Description of the schedule. |
Pay Type | Pay type of the schedule. |
Note | Optional. Note for schedule. |
Modified By | User ID of the person who last made a change. |
Modified On | Date and time of the last modification. |
