Action Definition

You can set up action definitions for each of the action types supported by Workforce Budgeting. Each action type has unique characteristics for its definition that are validated during import.

These are the validation rules:

• Action Name must be unique.
• Import cannot be used to update the name for non-system action definitions.
• Calendar based is set to N if not mapped.

Workforce Budgeting provides four default action types:

• Base Salary
• New Base FTE
• New Headcount
• Transfer IN

These action types do not need to be imported. These rules apply if they are included in the import:

• The actions are never deleted if you select the Clear and Load option.
• If action definitions are imported, the Import matches on the action type only. The name is not used.
• The default action name is updated by the import.
