Action Groups

Use the Action Group page to create and manage customized calculation groupings of individual actions and other individual custom groups. These custom calculation groups can then be used in other action calculations, mapped to individual schedule lines as desired, and optionally, displayed on the Workforce Budgeting reports. All this is done in a hierarchy providing a visual representation of actions and actions groups for quick confirmation.

These are the four predefined action groups:

Benefits: Empty by default, but includes any actions included in the group.
Position Summary: Includes Total Compensation, Benefits, and any other actions included in the group.
Salary: Includes Base Salary, Rate Change actions, and any other actions included in the group.
Total Compensation: Includes Salary group and any other actions included in the group.

This table describes the fields:

Field	Description
	Add a group as a sibling to Position Summary.
	Refresh the page to the last saved state. You are prompted if there are unsaved changes.
Calculate	Calculate the selected cycle and version member and the top member in the primary dimension hierarchy.
/	Expand or contract the action group hierarchies.
Action Group Hierarchies	List of action groups and the actions assigned to them. The list also displays actions that are not included in an action group. Use the Action Definition page to add or remove actions from the Position Summary hierarchy.
Unassigned Actions	List of actions that have not been included in any group.
Name	Specify a name for the action group.
Description	Specify a description for the action group.
Display on Reports	Select this check box to include the action group in the Summary Action Group list on the reports.
Save	Save any changes.
Cancel	Cancel the action.

Use the right-click menu to add, copy, and delete action groups.

This table describes the available commands:

Command	Description
Add Child Group	Add an action group as a child of the selected action group.
Add Sibling Group	Add an action group at the same level as the selected action group or action.
Copy	Copy the selected action group or action.
Delete Group	Delete the selected custom action group. This command is not available for actions or predefined action groups.
Paste as Child	Paste the copied item, action group or action, as a child of the selected action group.
Paste as Sibling	Paste the copied item, action group or action, as a sibling of the selected action group.
Ungroup Action	Remove an action from an action group.
