Planning Relational

The Planning Relational page collects information that is used to create the Planning relational database that contains the Workforce Budgeting tables.

This table describes the fields:

Field Description
Create database and data source connection automatically Select this field to create the database and data source. This is the default.
Create database script only Optional. Select this field to create a SQL script to run later. If this option is selected, sample data is not loaded.
Planning relational database information
Database Server Type List of database server types. Select Microsoft SQL Server.
Database Name Specify the name for the Planning relational database. The default is the name of the selected Planning OLAP database.
Database Password / Confirm Password Specify the password to access the Planning relational database.
Create SQL Script This button displays if you selected the Create database script only field.

The script is named DatabaseName_ModelCreate_SqlServer.sql

Relational database server connection
Administrator Authentication Select the authentication type for the database administrator. Authentication specifies how the database administrator connects to the relational database. Select the Database field if SQL Server authentication is used to sign in. Select the Integrated field if Windows authentication is used to sign in. If you select Integrated, the Administrator User field is automatically filled in.
Administrator User Specify the user ID to use when connecting to the database server. This user ID is used to create the database and must have database administration permissions.
Administrator Password Specify the password for the administrator user ID.
Server Specify the name of the database server computer including the SQL instance name if applicable.
Test Connection Verify the connection using the supplied details.
Planning data source information
Data Source Name Specify the name of the data source that the wizard will create to connect to the database it is creating. The name must be unique.
