BOD integration
Business Object Documents (BODs) are xml files used to exchange information between business applications. BODs are a method of integrating with Infor ERP or FMS applications (source systems). Several Infor source systems publish BODs that are consumed to update database structure, load data and perform drill through. Other Infor source systems provide specific source views containing structure and financial data. These integrations are designed to make it easier to use Infor ERP or FMS structure and data as the foundation.
The PM source views provide a standardized framework for integrating financial structure and data from various Infor ERPs to d/EPM. The PM source views contain financial structure (such as entities and accounts) and financial data (actuals) from the ERP source system.
- In standardized point to point integrations, PM Source Views are produced by the ERP source system. They can be included within the ERP database itself or could be spun off into a separate database.
- In ION integrations, PM Source Views are created within the Infor ION Business Vault Base Data Store database and are populated with data from financial BODs published by the ERP source system. See the Infor d/EPM Configuration Guide for Infor ION for further information.
See Knowledge Base 1023964 for further information on the PM source views.
